WRITING

I had a blog for three years that I inconsistently used. It was basically a place to just get out of my own head. While I love to write, the self-blogging world is not for me anymore. I am currently a contributor for a website called The Rising, below are some of my posts

ditch the balance and choose harmony
to my internet friends
there's nothing wrong with emotions
the struggle with joy and where to find it
God doesn't use guilt and neither should you

DESIGN

LATEST PROJECT

The company I current work for needed a website rehaul. I offered to make a new site using squarespace with their current logo. The limited color scheme, white space, and icons bring it from 2006 to 2017.

My last semester of school had a mandatory class that was a semester long group project. We were a "firm" with an actual client (the first item in the section above), and this is the logo I created.

MARKETING MATERIALS

After college, I was connected with a local business owner that wanted to do some design/fundraising work. I used a pre-designed logo to revamp their menus, flyers, etc. I used the checkerboard pattern on their restaurant tables in the design to tie them together. This was one of the hardest projects I worked on from both a design and human perspective. The owner subsequently fired me...after I deisgned and printed everything on my own dime (learned that lesson) and had to threaten to take him to small claims court in order to get paid.

WEDDING INVITES

I designed my wedding invites (left) and a friend's (right) and will soon be designing my little sister's!
